Currently the Undersea Park at Grand Isle includes two trails. Both are accessible from the beaches.

The Grand Isle Reef Snorkeling Trail is on the north side of the Emerald Bay Beach directly off Grand Isle Resort & Spa property. The floats marking the trail are easily visible when you enter from the Resort’s beach access.

The buoys are anchored at various coral heads encompassing the Grand Isle Reef Snorkeling Trail. This trail is very shallow and therefore perfect for beginners.

Logan’s Cove Snorkeling Trail is located on the east side of the peninsula just east of the Resort. The best way to access this trail is by golf cart or on foot. The public beach access is located between the Resort and Emerald Bay Marina.

The buoys are positioned near Poor Betty’s Cay, the little deserted island just south of the marina entrance. There is a great mini-wall just a few inches below the surface. This trail is bit more advanced. A good swim is necessary after entering from the beach. It requires solid snorkeling skills and swimming.
